The Robert Pope Foundation’s support for cancer patients has included a variety of initiatives, including:
- Well-Being Workshops for Cancer Patients – Project funding was provided to several organizations in various communities to help cancer patients benefit from simple and effective methods that improve health and well-being.
- Reaching Out to Those with Cancer – For 7 years the Foundation, in partnership with nursing professionals, presented cancer patients entering Halifax’s QEII Hospital with a red rose and sensitively versed card, expressing care and courage for the treatment program these newly admitted cancer patients were about to journey on.
- Coloring Books for Young Cancer Patients – Designed by artist Tom Forrestall, these children’s coloring books were provided by the Foundation to Halifax’s IWK Hospital for Children for the recreational enjoyment of young cancer patients.
