The Robert Pope Foundation provides support for art exhibitions of Illness and Healing.
- Robert Pope’s artwork on Illness and Healing has been exhibited in over 65 venues both nationally and internationally. This has included presentations at public galleries, hospitals, medical schools and government institutions such as Rideau Hall. The exhibitions have occurred throughout Canada and the United States, as well as Australia and Ireland. The public attending these art shows often expressed that they were moved by Robert’s paintings on the experience of cancer. Since many people have been touched by cancer through personal experience or that of friends or family, Robert’s images of cancer treatment strike an emotional chord with many individuals. As Isabel Pope noted, “After seeing Robert’s work, many people want to discuss their own trials and experiences. I feel that listening to them often helps, reassures and strengthens.”
