The Robert Pope Foundation’s support for artists and public galleries has included:

- Robert Pope Art Acquisition Program – Each year the Foundation provides three public art galleries with grants of $5,000. to purchase the artwork of living Nova Scotia visual artists for their permanent collections. These funds allow galleries to select art work from Nova Scotia artists and potentially secure matching art procurement funds from the Canada Council’s Art Acquisition Program.

- Artist in Residence Program, the Medical Humanities Program, Dalhousie Medical School.
This Artist in Residence Program provides stipends to artists to create community engaged art works that address subjects relevant to the medical humanities. - Bill and Isabel Pope Artist in Residence Program, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. This is an annual two month NSCAD residency with a $5000. stipend and solo exhibition at the college’s art gallery — established for emerging and mid-career painters for creating new bodies of work.
